On March 11 of this year the primary elections in various entities of the United States, which determine which candidate will be nominated by their party for electoral office. Said elections they will continue until September before the general elections on November 8.

How were the results of the primary elections on August 2? Winners and losers

This Tuesday, August 2, have been held primary elections in Arizona, Kansas, Michigan, Missouri and Washington.

As of 7:30 p.m. ET, the polls have closed in Ohio, which hosts state legislative races. Polls closed at 8:00 p.m. ET in parts of Kansas, which has an abortion referendum on the ballot, and parts of Michigan, where a contentious battle over the Republican gubernatorial nomination is coming to a head, and Missouri, site of a competitive Republican Party Senate primary.

At 9:00 pm ET the rest of the polls closed in Michigan and Kansas, while at 10:00 pm ET the polls closed in Arizona, which is staging major races like the Republican primaries for governor and Senate. On the other hand, the polls closed at 11:00 pm ET in the state of Washington, where a primary for the Senate is being organized.
