Besides the Split Viewanother way to use multiple apps at the same time on the iPad is through the feature called Slide Over.
With it, an app appears in the form of a smaller floating window, which can be dragged to the left or right sides of the tablet screen.
In the following paragraphs, see how to take advantage of this feature! 🙂
To open an app in Slide Over, first open any other app in full screen. Then tap on the three dots (at the top) and choose “Slide Over”.
When you do this, the current application will be minimized so you can choose another one you want to open. This will open it in full screen and first move it to a smaller window, allowing you to move it to the right or left of the screen.
To move it, drag the multitasking button (with three dots) to the right or left.
- To transform the app that is in mode Slide Over em Split Viewselect the multitasking button once more and go to “Split View”. Or, if you want, tap and hold the multitasking button. Then drag the app to the left or right edge of the screen.
- To hide, tap and hold the multitasking icon. Then, swipe the app off the screen to the left or right.
- To open a second app in Slide Over, pull your finger up until the Dock and App Library appear. Once you identify its icon, drag it towards the window of the first app you want. Slide Over.
- To switch between multiple apps open in Slide Over, swipe left/right from the bottom black bar. If you want to see all those that have been opened this way, swipe up and hold it in the middle of the screen. To close one of them, swipe up.
Did you already know this way of working with multiple apps on the iPad? 😉
