Following our tips involving the FaceTime no iOS/iPadOS 17today we will show you how to use the reactionswhich can be done using your hands during a call both in Apple’s native app and in some other video conferencing apps — you can even use it when recording Stories on Instagram, for example!

There are several effects that can be triggered, such as hearts, like, rain, balloons e fireworks.

Before using the effects themselves, make sure reactions are enabled. To do this, open Control Center on your iPhone/iPad, tap “Video Effects” and activate “Reactions”.

Apple informs that, to use them in practice, the ideal is to keep your hands away from your face and pause the reaction for a moment so that they are shown.

Check out all the possibilities! ????

Hearts: Make a heart gesture using both hands.
Positive: Use the thumbs-up gesture with one hand.
Negative: Use the thumbs-down gesture with one hand.
Balloons: Make a “V” for victory using your index and middle fingers.
Rain: Use the thumbs-down gesture with both hands.
Confetti: Make a “V” for victory using the index and middle fingers on both hands.
Laser ray: Make the “punk” gesture (keeping only the index and little fingers raised) using both hands.
Fireworks: Use the thumbs-up gesture with both hands.

The new feature, it is worth noting, also applies to Macs running the macOS Sonoma 14as long as they have an Apple Silicon or you are using Continuity Camera with an iPhone 12 or newer.
