How to turn on/off the conversation detection feature on AirPods Pro [iPhone, iPad e Mac]

Just as it does with iPhones, iPads and other devices, Apple also takes the opportunity to release new software updates (in this case, firmware) to AirPods, AirPods Pro e AirPods Max.

One of her latest, for example, brought a new mode called Conversation Detection (Conversation Awareness) to the 2nd generation AirPods Pro — which applies to both the model with a Lightning charging case and the more recent one with a USB-C port.

With the feature, the headphones automatically reduce the volume of what is playing when you start speaking, in addition to enhancing the voices in front of you and reducing background noise.

Despite being very useful, there are certain times when you may find this feature a little annoying, such as when humming a song using the function Apple Music Sing, for example. Here’s how to disable this or, alternatively, confirm that the function is active! ????

No iPhone/iPad

With the headphones connected, open Settings and tap the name of your AirPods (at the top of the screen). Then, in the middle of the settings (within the “Audio” section), activate or deactivate the “Conversation Detection” function.

No Mac

Open System Settings, click on your AirPods (in the left sidebar) and turn “Conversation Detection” on or off under the “Audio” section.

Simple, right?!
