How to Turn Off the HomePod Light When Using Siri

Here in the MacMagazinewe have already given some very interesting tips for those who use HomePod or the HomePod miniApple’s smart speakers.

Today, more specifically, we’ll show you how you can disable the indicator light located on top of these devices when Siri is listening to your command — in case you just don’t like that behavior around. ????

Next, see how to proceed!

Open the Home app (Home) on your iPhone/iPad or Mac. For iPhone/iPad, press and hold your finger on HomePod and then choose “Accessory Details”. Then go to the end of the list and tap on the gear icon; on Mac, this can be done by right-clicking on the speaker and choosing the same option.

Finally, uncheck the “Turn on Light when using Siri” option. If you want, in addition to turning off the light itself, you can also turn off the sound effect when you do this — just uncheck “Make Sound When Using Siri”.
