With the arrival of iOS/iPadOS 17.2, Apple also made some changes to the system’s native keyboard.
From now on, it has become possible to disable calls Online Forecasts (Predictions Inline)which show a preview of what you might want to write, without having to turn off predictive text as a whole.
The only caveat is that this Inline Predictions function is only available when the keyboard is set to English (United States, Australia, Canada, India, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa and the United Kingdom) and on iPhones 12 or later.

On your iPhone/iPad updated to iOS/iPadOS 17.2 (or later), open Settings, tap “General” and go to “Keyboard”.
Then, in the “English” area, deactivate “Show Online Forecasts”.
Simple, right?! ????
