How to Swap Siri for ChatGPT Using a Shortcut [iPhone, iPad e Mac]

If you follow the MacMagazineyou may have already seen that we commented on an application that allows you to use the ChatGPT directly from your wrist on your Apple Watch.

Well, know that you can also use this artificial intelligence on your iPhone, iPad or Mac — via an app shortcut Shortcuts (Shortcuts).

Check below how to set it up! ????

First, go to the OpenAI website on your own device. Then login with your account or create one. Once that’s done, tap the button represented by three little lines (in the upper right corner) on the iPhone/iPad case and go to Personal » View API keys. On the web, click directly on “Personal”at the top right corner.

On the next screen, select “Create new secret key” and copy it. Once that’s done, go to this GitHub page and in the “ChatGPT Siri 1.2” section, tap/click “English Version” to be taken directly to the Shortcuts app.

Go to “Configure Shortcut” and on the next screen, paste the API keyApplication programming interfaceor application programming interface.”>1 previously copied. Once done, tap on “Add Shortcut”.

With that, the ChatGPT shortcut will appear in the “Shortcuts” tab of the app. Tap on it and type whatever you want. In a few moments, it will answer you as if you were using the function on the web.

If you want, you can even “replace” Siri with ChatGPT by entering the newly created shortcut, tapping “Add Shortcut” and then typing something like “Hey Siri, call ChatGPT”.
