Why put ice cubes in the dryer?
Maintaining your linen is a ritual that should not be waived. But what is legitimate is also wanting to minimize effort and simplify life. Especially when you’re in a hurry and absolutely want to wear an outfit in the hours that follow. The dryer is precisely a real ally in everyday life: it is a much simpler and faster way to dry wet clothes, especially when the weather conditions are not favourable. But, there is one chore we all like to avoid: ironing. It is long, tedious and tiring. Some even complain of not having a great technique and of never being really satisfied with the result. Need a little help? There is a little trick to try out to limit creases and creases in your laundry.
If you put a few ice cubes in the drum during the drying cycle, you will notice that the clothes will come out almost without wrinkles. You wonder how it is possible? The ice cubes will melt and generate a kind of vapor which will act directly on the clothes. You’ll almost feel like they’ve already been ironed, without even having to use the iron. Your outfit will therefore be perfectly dry, without creases or marks. Hop, ready to be worn for your evening!

Another tip: A clean, damp towel can smooth out marks on wrinkled clothing. Simply place it on the affected surface and iron the garment with the lowest temperature. Don’t worry, you won’t need a lot of pressure. The steam will do all the work!
Be careful, however: remember to always check the instructions on the label before starting anything. Depending on the fabric, specific care methods must be applied, otherwise you risk damaging the garment.
Bad surprise: when you take the laundry out of the dryer, you notice an unpleasant smell on your clothes. Wow, that’s very annoying. But where does this come from? The reasons are many. Most often, this problem stems from the washing machine itself. Maybe the detergent wasn’t dosed right or you had a heavy hand on the fabric softener, in which case the residue generated that bad smell. But maybe also the device hasn’t been cleaned for a while and is full of mold. Ah yes, another common reason: you probably didn’t get your laundry out in time. Because the longer it drags in the drum, the more the humidity does its work. Hence the unpleasant musty smell you smell. But, it is also not uncommon for the clothes to already smell bad even before washing, due to a few leftover food with a lingering smell (fruit, garlic, onion, coffee, etc.). The more the scent adheres to the fabric, the more difficult it is to dissipate!

And, what would be the solution to avoid this type of annoyance? The most classic way would be to bet on a soft and scented fabric softener to deodorize your laundry and keep it very fresh. Not too much is obviously needed: use the dose (or even less) prescribed by the manufacturer to avoid the slightest unpleasant odor. So wash your clothes with this fabric softener before drying them. The big advantage of these fabric softeners, is that they make clothes softer, reduce static electricity and protect fabrics for a long time.
Noticed : the smell still persists even if your clothes have been perfectly washed? In this case, the ultimate option is to simply add a little baking soda to the smelly area. Moisten it first and let the powder soak in for a few moments. Thanks to its deodorizing power, this product is great for dissipating all unpleasant scents. You will be amazed by the result!
