The security of our computer is of utmost importance as many of us store photos, documents, schoolwork and other valuable information on it. In this context, it is crucial that we adopt preventive measures when accessing the internet, since we are subject to various online threats.

Despite having a system designed to offer maximum security, it is recommended to use antivirus, anti-malware software and other similar solutions. However, even with these protections, it is still possible for malicious agents to infect our system, attaching themselves to components and making their removal a challenging task.

To face these problems, Windows offers “Safe Mode”, a valuable tool that allows you to load the system with the minimum necessary resources. In this way, it is possible to diagnose and solve problems caused by software or drivers, in addition to safely removing viruses and other threats.

These days, booting into Safe Mode in Windows 10 is a quick and easy process, and to help with that task, we’ve provided an explanatory video of less than 3 minutes at the top of this page. If you prefer, we’ll also provide a step-by-step tutorial below.

Learn how to access Windows 10 Safe Mode. It has the easy mode, the quick mode, the more technical version and the classic mode.

go on windows buttonclick on it and go to the option On offfollowing this hold shift button on the left side of your keyboard and click “Restart”.

As soon as you click restart, your computer will start the process. When it turns on once more you will see this screen, in it select the option Problems solution.

On the next screen that opens, choose Advanced options to open the menu we need to access.

Here we have one more screen, it is necessary to choose Startup Settingswhich is on the right side of the screen.

This screen shows several Windows options that will be available, but it is necessary to press Restart. From there the computer will restart once more and you will see new options.

On the startup screen it will be necessary to press the key number 4so that the option Safe Mode is chosen, you can also choose the Safe Mode with Networking by pressing 5 or Safe Mode with Command Prompt using number 6.

In general, the less drivers are enabled, the less chance of problems, mainly related to blue screen (or BSOD as some like to call it), so with that in mind we recommend option 4 in general, 5 only if internet is extremely necessary.

And that’s it, now that you’ve chosen one of the options above, the computer will restart once once more in Safe Mode. If you want to go back to normal Windows 10, with all drivers enabled, just click restart without holding down the shift key, as if you were using it normally.
