In Windows 11/10, press Win + X in combination to bring up the Power Task menu. From there choose “Control Panel”. Then select Region.

Now, in the “Region” window that appears on your computer screen, select the “Additional Settings” button.

Later, in the “Customize Format” window, choose the “Time” tab.

Here, replace the letters AM and PM with the name of your choice.

Make sure the format you are using contains “tt”.

That is: Time format = hh:mm:ss tt

Then just click Apply > OK.

If you don’t like the changes made, undo them and restore the default settings by simply clicking the reset button or manually changing them to AM and PM.

Right-click on the taskbar > Toolbars > New Toolbar.

Create a new one with the name you want and select it.

In Windows 7open the Control Panel, select Region and Language > Formats tab > Additional Settings button, then in the Customize Format window that opens, select the Time tab and follow the steps above.

You can also change the order if you enter “tt hh:mm:ss” in Long duration you get your name to the left of the beats, with a space between them. If you enter: “HH” instead of “hh” you get the time in 24 hour format.

Create a folder on the desktop with your name. Then right-click on the taskbar and select Toolbar > New Toolbar. Navigate to this folder and select it. You can now delete the folder. Your name will appear in the taskbar.
