LinkedIn has both free and premium accounts. Your access to your profile views in the “Who Viewed Your Profile” panel depends on the account you have, your account’s privacy settings, and the people who visit your profile.
Basic (free) LinkedIn account
If you have a free account, you can see up to five results of who’s viewed your profile, the number of visits to your profile, and the number of times you’ve appeared in search results.
To see these last five profile views, you will have to enable the display of your name and title in your profile visibility settings page.
To enable name and title:
- Click on the icon Eu on your home page;
- Then click on Settings and Privacy;
- Afterwards, select the tab Privacy;
- Then scroll down to the section How others see your activity on LinkedIn;
- On this page, click and expand Profile view options;
- Finally, select what other people can see when you view their profile. tap on Your name and title.
The choice will be automatically saved. Likewise, the information you can see regarding your visitors also depends on how they have configured their own profile visibility settings.
- Visitors enabled “name and title”: You will see your name, title, location and industry;
- Some are partially anonymous: You may see limited information such as title and industry, or just university;
- Members have turned on private mode for complete anonymity: You will only see “LinkedIn Member”.
LinkedIn Premium Accounts (Paid)
LinkedIn Premium members have no restrictions on viewing history for the past 90 days. This is one of the reasons why LinkedIn Premium is worth paying for.
A slider at the top of the page shows where visitors came from and the most common titles they have, along with how they found you on LinkedIn. But keep in mind that premium users will not be able to see any additional information regarding viewers who have activated Private mode.

Additional FAQ
Below, check out the most frequently asked questions on the subject:
1. Is it possible to see who viewed my profile in private mode?
Whether or not you can see who has viewed your profile while you are in private mode depends on the type of profile you have. If you have a basic LinkedIn profile, you will not be able to see who has viewed your profile while in private or semi-private mode. On the other hand, this is possible for Premium users.
If you are a Premium Viewer in private mode, when you visit someone’s LinkedIn profile, that person will receive a notification that an anonymous LinkedIn member has visited their profile. However, if you’re in semi-private mode, people whose profiles you’ve visited will be able to see your job title or the name of the company associated with your account.
2. Why can’t I see everyone who has viewed my profile?
Having a LinkedIn Premium account allows you to see who has viewed your profile, even if you are in private mode. However, if the person who viewed your profile is also in private mode, you will not be able to see their information. It’s simply how LinkedIn protects the privacy of those who want to browse privately.
