O iMessage It has several cool features for those who enjoy chatting with other Apple product users. Although it’s not even close to the United States in terms of popularity, many people use it to exchange text messages, photos, videos, audios and stickers.

Another way to express yourself is to use message effectswhich can be used for special occasions such as birthdays and New Year’s greetings, for example.

Despite being cool, they may not always work — something that can happen for a variety of reasons. Check out what to do in these cases below! ????

  • The easiest way to resolve this issue is to check that the function is not disabled in the system’s accessibility area.
  • On your iPhone/iPad, open Settings and go to Accessibility » Movement and see if “Message Effects” is turned on.
  • On Mac, this same procedure can be done by opening the Messages app, going to Messages » Settings… in the menu bar (or using the shortcut ⌘ command ,).
  • On your Apple Watch, open Settings, tap “Accessibility” and “Reduce Motion”. Then, make sure “Message Effects” is turned on.
  • Try logging out and logging into iMessage once more. In the case of iPhone/iPad, open Settings, tap “Messages” and uncheck “iMessage”. Then activate it once more. On your Mac, open Messages, scroll to Messages » Settings… in the menu bar and click on the “iMessage” tab. Then select “End Session”.
  • Keep in mind that iMessage effects will only work if the other person is using an iPhone/iPad or Mac.
  • Restart your device and try once more.
  • In more serious cases, try restoring your iPhone/iPad, Mac and Apple Watch.
