Despite not being officially available in Brazil, many Brazilian consumers end up using HomePods e HomePods mini — either bringing it from a trip or actually importing it. If you are a happy consumer of this speaker and you are facing any problem using it, know that it is fully possible to reset it to factory settings.
right here, in MacMagazinewe’ve already shown you how you can do this using a Mac or PC (in the case of HomePods mini) or an iPhone/iPad.
It turns out that this can also be done in another way: directly through the device. Check out the steps below! ????
- Unplug the HomePod (on 2nd generation model) or unplug it (on 1st generation or HomePod mini). Wait for ten seconds and plug it in once more.
- Wait another ten seconds, then tap/hold your finger on top of the HomePod.
- The light, initially white, will then turn red. Keep your finger on top of the surface.
- At some point, Siri will confirm that the HomePod will be reset. When you hear three beeps, release your finger from the surface.
Once that’s done, follow the steps to set up the HomePod once more.
