Lots of new Apple added in iOS 16. But one feature I personally (and many readers) did not like from the very beginning.
On the main screen, at the bottom, a strip with the phrase “Search” is now always visible. Previously, there was nothing there, except for the “dots” of application pages.
As directed by a reader Anton Burkin I removed this unnecessary feature. Which I advise others who appreciated the order and minimalism of the iOS home screen.
1. We open Settings -> Home Screen.
2. We exclude the item Display on the Home screen.
It’s all. Minimalism restored, no more unnecessary texts on the desktop.
