We teach here MacMagazine how you can natively remove background from images on iPhone/iPad and Mac — new with iOS 16, iPadOS 16 and macOS Ventura 13.
What a lot of people don’t know is that there’s also a way to do this on multiple images at once, through the app. Files (Files) do iPhone/iPad e do Finder no Mac.
Check out how to proceed below!
How to remove background from images using Files app on iPhone/iPad
First, open Photos and select the images you want to remove the background (by tapping “Select” and checking them). Then tap the system share button, select “Save to Files” and choose the desired location (or create a new folder).
Then manually open the Files app, find the folder where the photos are located, tap the button represented by three dots (in the upper right corner) and go to “Select”. After marking the desired images, tap the button with three dots (located in the lower right corner) and select “Remove Background”.
How to remove image background from the Files app on Mac
On Mac, this can be done using Finder. Open it and locate the desired images. Then right-click or press the ⌃ control while clicking with the left mouse button on top of them. Then go to Quick Actions » Remove Background.
Ready! A copy of the backgroundless images will be created in the same folder! ????
