Pendrives and other mobile storage devices, such as external hard drives, memory cards, etc., are extremely useful for storing and transporting files. We can also use them to create bootable pendrives and install/format Windows on computers. If a problem has occurred and your storage device has a much lower capacity than advertised, this tutorial is all you need to solve the problem.
Pendrive has decreased storage capacity, how to solve it?
This might have happened for several reasons:
1. Removing the pendrive while it is working: if you pulled out the pendrive before it finished transferring or reading files, it may have become corrupted, resulting in the capacity reduction issue;
2. Removing the USB stick while it is formatting: just like the first problem, in this case, the USB stick failed to complete the formatting process and also got corrupted;
3. Computer virus or Malware: although less common, a computer virus may have infected your pendrive and caused this reduction in capacity.
To then restore the pendrive in its entirety, we must follow a few steps. It is not necessary to install any additional program on your computer, just access a feature of your Windows and use it with due care.
Necessary time: 4 minutes

In the case of the image below, Disk 0 is where Windows is installed (size 447 GB) and the pendrive is Disk 1 (size 29 GB). Make sure you select the right disk before proceeding with the tutorial, otherwise you risk losing all your computer data!
