Custom design printing: How to decorate and print an image on the shell of your smartphone using an iron?
To customize your phone case, you’ll need a few simple materials:
- A photo of your choice.
- Sublimation or heat transfer paper.
- Iron.
- A printer.
- A transparent phone case.
- Scissors.
- A bowl of water.
How to proceed ?
Here’s how to customize a smartphone case in a few simple steps:

- First, choose a cover that suits the model and size of your phone.
- To print your photo on the cover of your mobile, make sure that its resolution is high enough for an impeccable result.
- Print your photo on sublimation or heat transfer paper. If the words or images are oriented in a specific direction, you only need to print a mirror image.

- Then cut out the photo to match the size of your case.
Note: Sublimation or heat transfer paper will transfer the image to any surface.
- Clean the surface of your smartphone case to remove dust and moisture, then place your photo face down and secure it with tape.
- Heat the iron and apply it to the back of the picture for 5 minutes (using back and forth motions) to transfer the picture to the surface of the case.

- Now it’s time to bring your design to life! Immerse the case with the attached paper photo in cold water for about 20 minutes.
