How to pin a message within a conversation on WhatsApp on iPhone

Open the conversation and, when you find the message you want, touch and hold it and go to “Pin”. Then, choose the desired period: 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days.

As a result, the message will remain at the top of the conversation for that period. To unpin it before the established deadline, repeat the same process and go to “Unpin”.

How to pin a message within a conversation on WhatsApp on the web and Mac

Via WhatsApp Web or using the macOS app, go to the conversation, hover over the message, click on the downward-facing arrow and select “Pin”. Then, choose the desired time.

To undo this, follow the same steps and choose “Unpin”.

And in groups?

In the case of WhatsApp groups, their administrators can choose whether to allow members to pin messages in the group.

On your iPhone, open WhatsApp, tap the group and its name at the top of the screen. Then, go to “Group permissions” and activate “Edit group settings”.

On the web or in the Mac app, click the group name (at the top), go to “Group Permissions” and check “Edit Group Settings”.
