If you are Mexican and want to finish your high school diploma, this is your opportunity to do so remotely with the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM).
The Institute for Mexicans Abroad (IME) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE) assured that remote studies are applicable to citizens who are in other countries.
The B@UNAM Distance Learning Baccalaureate program aims to enable Mexicans and other Spanish speakers living outside of Mexico to complete their high school studies in their language.

The registration period will begin on August 16 and will run until September 9, 2024, and is open to all those interested in participating.
“B@UNAM is a high-quality, complete, up-to-date baccalaureate that meets all the social functions of this educational level, making the most of the online modality to promote in students significant, contextualized and relevant skills and learning for today’s world,” reads the program description.
Program Curriculum
In addition, in the future, students will have greater employment and social integration opportunities, both in their country of residence and in their country of origin, should they decide to return.
The program has 24 subjects organized into four axes: natural sciences, mathematics, social sciences and humanities.
Students are expected to devote at least 20 hours per week to make good progress.
How to apply for the program
Those interested must take one subject at a time. There is no fixed schedule for classes and students can study from anywhere with a computer connected to the Internet.
The curriculum does not allow revalidation of subjects from other baccalaureates already started, so all students must take the baccalaureate remotely from the beginning.

To apply and enter the program, you must take and pass three preparatory courses. Once you have passed, you take the UNAM admission exam to enter the program.
