How to notify you that you arrived safely at your destination in iOS 17 [iPhone]

The application Messages (Messages) was also not left out of the news in the iOS 17. One of them is a new feature called Arrived well? (Check In). With it, you can notify a friend/family member that you arrived safely at home or elsewhere.

If the person has shared this with you and has not arrived as expected, their location will be sent — in addition to the battery percentage and cell signal, for example.

To use “Chegou Bem?”, the sender and recipient must necessarily have an iPhone running iOS 17 or a newer version of the system.

Without further ado, here’s how to use it! ????

On your iPhone, open the Messages app and select the person you want to use this function with. Remember that this is done via iMessage, so it must also be turned on.

Select the “+” icon above the keyboard, on the left, and go to “More” or slide your finger from the bottom up to choose the option “Did I arrive well?”.

Follow the next steps and choose between “Limited or “Full” data. This will be used if you do not arrive as expected. In this case, the iPhone will send you a warning. If there is no response, the other person will be notified and their data will be shared.

Limited: includes the current location and details about the battery and network signal of the iPhone — and also the Apple Watch;
Complete: Includes all “Limited” data, plus your route traveled and the locations where your smartphone was last unlocked — and your Apple Watch was taken off.

After choosing this, read the other notices and select “Submit an Arrived Well Request”.

In the text field, select “Edit” in the resource area and switch between the “When I arrive” and “After a timer” tabs.

In the first option, you can choose your destination, the travel mode and add more time, if necessary. With this, your route will be monitored and the person will be notified if there is no progress or if you do not arrive as expected. Once you reach your destination, the function is complete and the iPhone will notify the person that you have arrived.

In “After a timer”, you can choose a specific period, ideal for when you are going to meet an unknown person. If you do not finish the “Did you arrive well?” before the set time, the person in the session will receive a notification.

Tap “OK” when everything is ready.

To cancel or add more time to “Arrived Well?”, tap “Details” in the message sent and select “Cancel Arrived Well Session” or “More Time”.
