In the summer, one gets the impression that people tend to reach for sweet refreshments even more easily than in the cooler months of the year – with the result that sugar consumption can get out of control. In addition, the sweetener is also hidden in many products where you would not expect it – or at least not in large quantities. But ready-made barbecue sauces, muesli and breakfast cereals or even normal fruit juices can be real sugar bombs.
