How to make iPhone/iPad read captured text
Open the Magnifier app on your iPhone or iPad, swipe up from the bottom of the screen (so the app controls appear). Then, select the last icon from left to right, on the fourth button (from top to bottom) and point the device at anything you want to hear out loud.
How to make the iPhone/iPad speak what it sees on the camera
With the Magnifier app open, select the same button used for the function shown above and the icon represented by a pointing hand. Then, just point your iPhone or iPad at whatever you want to hear.
Still on this function, Apple also allows you to change the way you point to a label or something like that. Still in detection, tap the gear icon (in the top left corner), go to “Point and Speak” and choose “Below” or “Above”.
