Dates molasses is a thick, sticky, concentrated liquid with a sweet taste. It can be prepared at home with simple ingredients, which are dates and water only. It is used in the preparation of many recipes for various sweets, which are preferred by most people for their delicious taste. In this article, we will discuss how to make molasses at home.
How to make date molasses:
This amount makes regarding 2 cups of date molasses.
the ingredients:
-oil
– 4 cups of water.
-1 pound of chopped dates
Method:
Get clean kitchen scissors, wipe their blades with oil, then use them to cut the dates into small pieces.
Put the dates and water in a medium saucepan and raise it over a low to medium heat and leave the mixture on the fire for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove the mixture from the heat and let it cool for 30 minutes.
Transfer the mixture to a blender or food processor and blend until very smooth (at least 1 minute).
Strain the mixture with a fine mesh strainer or a piece of cheesecloth, and squeeze the mixture while filtering until all the syrup is extracted from it.
-You can reduce the resulting syrup as desired, if you find that the drink is less sweet than you want, then raise it on a low heat once more for 30 minutes until it becomes thicker and sweeter.
Leave the mixture to cool, then store it in a clean, airtight glass container and leave it in the refrigerator.
