How to immediately receive the $750 FEMA aid?

Although FEMA has approved reimbursements for those affected by Hurricane Beryl in Houston, Texas, many residents, as reported on Univision 45’s social media, have not yet received the checks, generating uncertainty and unrest among beneficiaries.

“FEMA has completed processing your application for disaster relief. Eligible for $750,” reads the message that the selected individuals received.

“On July 29, they confirmed that I was eligible, but I haven’t received the money,” said one of the people who have been affected by the payment delays.

Here’s what you need to know if you need FEMA money immediately

Alberto Pillot recognizes that the economic situation of many people who have been approved by FEMA is critical. For this reason, he urges those who need the money immediately to contact 2-1-1.

The representative of the government entity reported that those individuals whose requests for assistance of $750 were denied have a period of two months to file an appeal against said determination.

According to Pillot, the best thing to do is to go to a recovery center in your area and speak with a counselor who can guide you through the process.

FEMA says payment may take weeks in Texas

Grants typically take a little longer, an additional 7-10 days. However, in cases of disasters such as Hurricane Beryl, reimbursements for shelter may take up to two months due to the volume of applications.

FEMA spokesperson Alberto Pillot explains that once FEMA confirms that you are eligible for assistance, the process for depositing the money is underway.

However, if you have any questions or believe there is a delay, we recommend that you call the toll-free number 1-800-621-3362 for more information.
