Record videos in 4K

If you want pro-quality videos, set your camera settings to “4K at 60 frames per second.” This will improve the quality of your videos, but note that it will take up more storage on your iPhone.

To record in 4K, go to your camera settings and tap “Record Video”. From there, tap on “4K at 60 fps”.

Use presets

With iPhone 13, you can set photography styles by choosing a preset (e.g. your preferred levels of warmth, contrast, vibrancy, etc.). Once you’ve set your style, every photo you take will look consistent.

Start using the presets by opening the camera app, tapping “Configure,” browsing through different styles, and tapping “Use.” [Style Name]’ to the preset you like.

Adjust the light before taking your shot

Did you know that you can adjust the brightness of a photo before you even take it? After tapping on the screen, you will see a small sun icon appear. To adjust the brightness of your photo, drag the sun up and down along the yellow line until you get the effect you want.

Try night mode

You might think that due to the lack of natural light, your photos won’t have the best quality at night – think once more! The latest iPhones have an amazing night mode, which means you don’t have to rely on flash anymore.

Night mode is automatically activated when the camera detects a dark environment. The moon icon in the corner turns yellow when night mode is active.

Get more in the frame with a 0.5 wide angle lens

If you have an iPhone 11, 12 or 13, try the ultra wide angle lens! With this built-in iPhone lens, you can capture an expanded field of view from your camera and fit so much more into a frame.

Just open the camera app and press 0.5 just above the shutter button to activate the wide lens.

Play with ProRAW

ProRAW is Apple’s version of a RAW image, which means you can fully customize your photos with a high level of flexibility. Basically, when we usually take photos on the iPhone using a standard JPEG or HEIC format, it chooses the most suitable settings for us. However, following taking your photo with ProRAW, you can adjust it with great precision using your editing application of choice, without losing any detail or quality.

You can use the ProRAW feature by tapping on the raw button in the upper corner of the screen once you have opened the camera app. This feature is only available on iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max. Play with it and unleash your editing creativity!
