And let’s go to the most unexpected Apple event of the year! ????
Next Monday, October 30Apple will hold the special event “Scary fast” (“Frighteningly fast”)which has everything to present new Macs (iMacs and 14-inch and 16-inch MacBooks Pro) equipped with the “M3”, “M3 Pro” and “M3 Max” chips.
The keynote — completely online, this time — will begin at a very unusual time: at 5 pm local time in Cupertino, which is equivalent to 9pm in Brasilia and to 0h (from 31/10) in Lisbon.
Our expectation, however, is that this will be a very lean/objective event — lasting, perhaps, around half an hour.
Apple Broadcast
Obviously, we will have a keynote transmission via video streaming.
It can be accompanied either via the company website (requires at least an iPhone 7, fifth-generation iPad, or seventh-generation iPod touch running Safari on iOS 12 or later; a Mac running Safari on macOS Mojave 10.14 or later; or a PC running Chrome, Firefox, or Microsoft Edge), a second generation Apple TV (or higher) with the latest version of the operating system, as well as a smart TV with AirPlay 2 support.
Version 1.7.8 (790.5 KB)
Requires the iOS 10.2 or superior
Again, Apple will also stream via YouTube:
Alternatively, anyone who wants can download and follow the unofficial app Apple Events for macOS — developed by Brazilian Guilherme Rambo — and follow the transmission by him, too.
Once once more, we will be covering the keynote live on YouTube. Follow this broadcast with Rafael Fischman e Breno Masistarting at around 8:45 pm (Brasília time) or 11:45 pm (Lisbon time).
The idea here is to complement Apple’s official streaming, with real-time translation and some live comments — as well as interacting with everyone watching on YouTube.
A special tab for MM Live (with the video) will also appear in our app, a little before and even a little following the event.
Twitter X/Mastodon
For those who cannot follow everything in detail during the keynote, we will publish no X e no Mastodon the main highlights of whatever is being announced by Apple.
We don’t want to flood timelines other people for nothing, so the idea is to just post a few main tweets throughout the event.
Complete articles
Obviously, while all of the above happens in real time during Apple’s presentation, we will have a team working intensely on complete and detailed articles regarding everything that is announced and what else happens on the day here on the website.
Although Apple’s keynotes themselves typically last between 1:30 and 2:00 (as we said above, we think this one will be different and quicker), our coverage extends into the late evening and subsequent days — depending on the volume of news, it’s Of course.
Podcast
We will record edition #552 of MacMagazine no Ar exceptionally on Wednesday, the day November 1ststarting at 7pm.
You can watch the recording live on YouTube, or wait for the edited version, which will be released by Friday night (3/11).
