O Low Power Mode (Low Power Mode) it has been available for some time on iPhones, Macs and Apple Watches. Today, in addition to them, it is also possible to use it in iPads from the iPadOS 15.
With the feature, you can extend battery life at times when you are away from a charger, for example. For this, some features are affected, such as screen lock (which defaults to 30 seconds), screen brightness, screen refresh rate (which is limited to 60Hz on iPad Pro with ProMotion), among others.
See how simple it is to activate this mode around! ????
There are three ways to do this:
- Go to Settings » Battery and select “Low Power Mode”.
- Activate Siri (either by pressing the Home/Top button or using “Hey Siri”) and say “Turn on Low Power Mode”.
- Add a Low Power Mode shortcut in Control Center for even easier access. To do this, open Settings, tap “Control Center” and select the green button next to “Low Power Mode”. Then rearrange it as you like. Afterwards, open Control Center and tap the icon to enable the feature.
Apple also remembers that, when the mode is activated, the battery icon in the status bar will turn yellow and, when the battery has at least 80% charge, it will automatically turn off.
