Genshin Impact’s “Pure Sound of Awakening” quest revolves around Kory Drums. After writing down five drum scores to play the instrument, the player must find three drums (Pyro, Hydro and Electro). The Pyro Drum requires players to light three altars of glowing flames, while the Hydro Drum needs you to drain the water in Submerged Wave Trials.
After the water drains, the player simply follows the quest marker to collect the Kory Drum. However, if you don’t understand how to finish the trials, this guide will show you how to perform the necessary tasks to obtain the drums and complete the quest “Pure Awakening Sound” in Genshin Impact.
How to Drain Water and Do the Bell Test in Genshin Impact
In order to get to the Submerged Wave Test location, the player will need to visit the Kory drum location in the east first. Follow the quest marker to find a Seelie. This Seelie will lead you to a cave where the tests are.
To get a Kory drum, you’ll have to drain the water by finishing the three bell tests. These trials require the traveler to collect some Dendro particles, but as the site is filled with water, it is not possible to simply walk around and collect them.
To finish the tests/tests, use Sorush to move the Red Clover Seal following the steps below:
Step 01: Switch to Sorush in the Gadget area.
Step 02: Approach the Red Clover Seal.
Step 03: Use Sorush’s skill.
Step 04: Move where players have to move.
Step 05: Interact with the button to place the Red Clover Seal in the new location (press T for PC).
If you have characters with exploration skills, you can skip steps. For example, the Wanderer can easily float and collect Dendro particles while Mona Ayaka can walk on water.
Submerged Waves Test – Solution 1
For the first Bell Test and water drain, players must take the Special Clover Seal to the end of the Dendro Particles. There are only four to collect in this trial and placing the Clover Seal in this location will ensure you complete the task quickly.
Submerged Waves Test – Solution 2
For the second test in the “Pure Awakening Sound” quest, players must place the Red Clover Seal on the second Dendro particle. With this, after teleporting to the Seal of Clover, travelers will be able to go down and collect the remaining two particles.
Submerged Wave Test – Solution 3
For the final test, place the Clover Seal at the end of the first row of Dendro particles. Don’t mind the other three as there is another Seal of Clover that players can use them to collect the Dendro Particles.
