A few years ago, Apple boosted its iPadOS (including changing its name, as the tablet previously also used iOS), bringing several exclusive features to the Apple tablet.
In addition to multitasking functions, such as Split View and the Slide Over, you can drag and drop items to move and copy them between apps. You can, for example, drag an image from Safari to an email in the… Mail app.

How to drag items
Open the app you want to move the item from and hold it down until it appears to “lift” from its location; in texts, you need to select it first to do this. Then, without releasing your finger from the screen, drag the item to another place within the application.
You can also copy an item between open applications, either in Split View or Slide Over. After opening both apps in these ways, simply press and hold the item or text (selected earlier) and drag it to the other app. While doing this, a “+” icon will appear where you can drop the item.
To select multiple items, touch and hold the first one, drag it slightly and continue holding it. While holding it, touch the others using another finger.
How to drag links
In addition to items and texts, you can drag links. Hold it down and drag the link to the window to replace it in Split View or Slide Over. Already to open it in a window Split View/Slide Overdrag the link to the left or right of the screen to open in Split View; or drag the link close to the edge to open it in Slide Over.
How to copy items to the Home screen or Dock
Press and hold the item until it appears to jump. Then, while holding it with one finger, use the other finger to open the Dock (by swiping up from the bottom edge of the screen and pausing) or drag your finger up/press the Home button to go to the Home screen from the iPad.
Drag the item over the other app to open it. With this, a transparent image of the item will appear under your finger as you drag it. If you change your mind, lift your finger before dragging the item or drag it off the screen.
