O Instagram allows you to keep in touch with friends and family by sharing photos/videos in Feed, Stories or exchanging direct messages (DMs).
By default, when a person clicks/tap “Follow” on your profile, they will receive suggestions for profiles that are similar to yours and that may also interest you, such as mutual friends, for example.
However, you can disable this in a very simple way. The only problem is that, at least until now, this can only be done through the browser on your smartphone or computer.

Access the site do Instagram on your device and log in to the account. Then follow the instructions below.
How to disable account suggestions on iPhone
Tap your profile photo (in the bottom right corner) and “Edit profile”. Then, deselect the selection located next to “Show account suggestions on profiles”. To confirm, select “Send”.
How to disable account suggestions on your computer
Click on “Profile” (in the left sidebar) and go to “Edit profile” next to your username. Finally, uncheck “Show account suggestions on profiles” and confirm with “Send”.
Meta’s social network reminds you that when you disable these suggestions, your profile will also not appear in other people’s profile suggestions.
