As Live Photos are a super fun way to relive special moments in life, like a trip or the growth of a child, for example.
For those unfamiliar, it captures a few seconds before and following you tap the camera’s capture button, generating a kind of short video.
Here in the MacMagazine, we’ve already shown you how you can disable them within the Camera app. In this article, we’ll show you how you can easily do that also directly from the Messages app, while you’re sending it.

Open Messages and select the desired contact. Afterwards, tap on the dedicated button to choose a photo from your gallery. When the image preview appears in the text field, select the Live Photos (in the upper left corner) to deactivate it — so that it has a diagonal line.
Finally, send it as usual to the desired contact. ????
