Like any self-respecting app, it lets you adjust notifications to your liking — how to change the sound and whether you want them to appear on the lock screen, in the Notification Center or as banners, for example.
Another adjustment that can be made is related to the repeating alerts. By default, an alert only repeats once every two minutes. However, you can change this within a period ranging from “Never” to “10 Times”.

On iPhone/iPad, open Settings, tap “Notifications”, then “Messages”. Optionally, you can also go directly to “Messages” and “Notifications”. Then select Customize Notifications » Repeat Alerts.
Choose one of the six available options:
Never Once Twice 3 Times 5 Times 10 Times
