Although it is difficult to describe the VLC program as a video editing program, some of its features can be used for more than just watching the video. As we knew at the beginning of the article, it is possible to cut the video in VLC by taking the clip you want, but not by A specific cutting and cutting tool even through the built-in recording feature within the application.
How to cut a video in VLC
Run the VLC program on the computer, then open the video that you want to cut, and from the toolbar menu above the video, click on View, and from the pop-up menu that will appear, click on Advanced Controls.
An additional partner will appear above the regular video control bar, which includes buttons for recording.
Play the video or go directly to the part you want to start cutting from, and following selecting the start, press the red button or press Shift and R to start recording, then continue playing the video or move forward by pressing the Frame by Frame button that allows moving forward One frame at a time, using this button increases cropping accuracy.
When you reach the end point where you want to stop the clip, press the record button once more or Shift-R on your keyboard. The VLC program will save the clip that you cut in the My Videos folder in Windows, which is in the path C:Usersusernamevideos, but in the macOS operating system, you will find the clip in the Documents folder or the user folder.

It is worth noting that you can create a looping clip through the program by showing the recording tool in the previously mentioned manner, then pressing the Loop button from point A to point B continuously, press once to select point A, then press once more when selecting point B, then press Pressing the button once more to stop repeating the clip.
