Classified as dangerous

A product classified as dangerous is a product that meets the criteria of the CLP regulation and for which a hazard has been identified. The classification criteria of the CLP regulation are detailed in ECHA’s technical guide: “Guidance on the Application of the CLP Criteria”.

A downstream user or distributor to whom a substance or mixture is supplied.

A mixture or solution composed of two or more substances.

Chemical product

Generic term for both substances and mixtures of chemical substances. This term has no regulatory definition, as the regulations refer specifically to substances and mixtures.

Substance

Chemical element and its compounds in the natural state or obtained by a manufacturing process, including any additive necessary to preserve its stability and any impurity resulting from the process used, but excluding any solvent which can be separated without affecting the stability of the substance or changing its composition.
