The application Depth (Depth) was one of the exclusive novelties of the Apple Watch Ultra. With it, you can check the temperature, duration of submersion and the maximum depth reached.
Here in the MacMagazine, we’ve already taught you how you can disable this app’s automatic opening when submerged. Know that Apple also allows you to change which app will be opened when in contact with water (as long as it was created for diving purposes).
In the following example, we’ll show you how to change the app to Oceanic+ — the app that turns the Apple Watch Ultra into a real dive computer! ????
How to change which app opens when diving with Apple Watch Ultra (via iPhone)
Open the Watch app, tap General, then “Open Automatically”. Then select “Depth” below “Auto-open App” and change it to Oceanic+ or any other available diving app in the list (and that is already installed on the watch, obviously).
How to change the app to open when diving with Apple Watch Ultra (from the watch itself)
Open Settings and go to General » Open Automatically. Then tap on the app below “Open App Automatically” to change it.
Simple, no?! ⌚️
