Having a profile picture that looks like you or matches the image you want to give of yourself is important on TikTok. Here’s how.
TikTok has become a major social network in record time, going so far as to worry Facebook and Instagram, and to incentivize services such as these but also Youtube to put more emphasis on short videos, popular with young audiences.
On this social network as on others, one may wish to be able to transmit an image that is in tune with the one one wishes to give of oneself. Here’s how.
On the homepage of TikTokat the bottom right, select Profile.
On your profile page, choose Edit profile.
On the “Edit profile” page, you are offered to Change photo but also Video. If you want to place a short video as a profile, TikTok then accesses the videos saved on your smartphone.
When you select Change Photo, three options are available:
- take a picture – all you have to do is stand in front of the lens and strike a pose. Click Use to keep the captured snapshot;
- upload the photo – TikTok then accesses the photos on your mobile phone and you just have to choose the one that suits you, then select Save;
- view photo – an option to check which photo has been selected.
If you view your profile, you can see that the TikTok avatar has been successfully updated.
