The main camera present in iPhones 15 e 15 Plus finally got an update regarding its resolution. Now, it also has a 48 megapixel sensor, as was the case with the iPhones 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max.
By default, the camera resolution of these devices (and also the 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max) is set to 24MP, but it is also possible to switch this between the already known 12MP or 48MP.
Next, see how to change this in practice! ????
To switch between 12MP and 24MP resolutions, open Settings, tap Camera, then tap Formats » Photo Mode to choose between the options.
It is important to take into account that the size an image will occupy largely depends on this choice. A photo captured at 12MP will take up around 3MB, while a 24MP photo will take up approximately 4.8MB.
To ensure that photos are captured at the sensor’s maximum resolution (that is, at 48MP), you need to do the following: open Settings, go to Camera » Formats and select “Resolution Control” or “ProRAW and Resolution Control”. In the second case, select “Standard Pro” and then “Maximum ProRAW (up to 48MP)”.
Always take into account, of course, the amount of storage space you have available on your device. ????
