The application Music (Music) macOS stands out for having several features that to this day are not available in versions of the same app for iPhones and iPads.
One of them concerns changing the folder where his media and other imported files are located. You can do this at any time and, if you change your mind later, even reset it to the default location.
See how simple it is!
Open the Music app on your Mac and go to Music » Settings…, in the menu bar. Optionally, you can also do this using the ⌘ command , key combination.
Then, click on the “Files” tab and “Change…” to choose another folder on the system where you want the files to be located. Once done, go to “Open” or “New Folder” to create one from scratch.
Later, use the “Reset” button in this same section of the Music app settings to return to the original location.
