Applications for an energy voucher are accepted from August 1 to September 30 of this year. The amount of one-time funding is as much as PLN 1,200. The application for an energy voucher is available online and in the mObywatel application. You can also submit an application for an energy voucher by post. Farmers can submit applications, but they must meet one important requirement.
The energy voucher is a one-time subsidy for households for their electricity bills. It is used to support citizens in paying their electricity bills.
Who and under what conditions can apply for a one-time energy voucher?
It can be used by members of a single or multi-person household who meet certain income criteria. The energy voucher is support available in the second half of the year (it covers the settlement of bills in the period July 1 – December 31, 2024), and the amount of subsidy can range from PLN 300 to PLN 1,200.
You can use the energy voucher if your monthly household income does not exceed:
- PLN 2,500 net per person (in a single-person household),
- PLN 1,700 net per person (in a multi-person household).
This means that it can be submitted by people who run a single-person household and whose monthly income does not exceed PLN 2,500.
It can also be submitted by members of a multi-person household whose monthly income does not exceed PLN 1,700.
Please note that if your income exceeds the above-mentioned amounts, you can still apply for an energy voucher – the zloty-for-zloty rule then applies, which ensures that you are entitled to the benefit.
In this case, the voucher amount will be reduced by the amount exceeding the income.
What financial support can I receive after applying for an energy voucher?
If the income criteria are met, you are entitled to an energy voucher in the amount of:
- PLN 300 – in the case of a single-person household,
- PLN 400 – in the case of a multi-person household consisting of 2 to 3 people,
- PLN 500 – in the case of a multi-person household consisting of 4 to 5 people,
- PLN 600 – in the case of a multi-person household consisting of at least 6 people.
In case of, when the main source of heating in a household is powered by electricity i is registered or reported to CEEB until 1 April 2024, or after that date – in the case of main heating sources reported or entered for the first time in the CEEB, an energy voucher is granted in the amount of:
- PLN 600 – in the case of a single-person household,
- PLN 800 – in the case of a multi-person household consisting of 2 to 3 people,
- PLN 1,000 – in the case of a multi-person household consisting of 4 to 5 people,
- PLN 1,200 – in the case of a multi-person household consisting of at least 6 people.
How to apply for an energy voucher 2024?
An application for an energy voucher can be submitted from 1 August 2024 to 30 September 2024:
- in the mObywatel application,
- on page gov.pl,
- on page epuap.gov.pl,
- in person at the municipal office in your place of residence or by post.

What data and documents are required to apply for an energy voucher 2024?
To apply for funding in the form of an energy voucher, you must prepare:
- Login with password for trusted profile or e-banking and mobile phone.
Application data:
- details of all household members, i.e.: name,
last name, - PESEL number or ID document number – if someone does not have a PESEL number, household address,
- contact details – please provide: e-mail address – if you wish to receive information about the grant by e-mail,
- telephone number – for contact with the office,
- the bank or credit union account number to which the funds are to be transferred.
- farmer, those who earn income from a farm must provide the exact number of hectares in the farm.
Documents confirming the information provided (optional).
When submitting an application via the mObywatel 2.0 mobile application, the Energy voucher service enables faster application submission as it partially fills in the application data automatically.
How to apply for an energy voucher 2024 in the mObywatel application step by step?
You should launch the mObywatel application and log in to it. On the home screen, in the Services section, press Energy voucher. If there is no icon for this service, press All, and then select Energy voucher from the list.
Please check the correctness of the automatically completed fields.
The remaining fields must be completed.

The new service in the mObywatel application can be seen on the main screen of the application or in the Services tab. This depends on whether the home screen personalization is used, i.e. your own icon layout and selection of services in the main view of the application.

How to properly submit an application for an energy voucher 2024 in writing?
An application in paper form must be signed with a handwritten signature, and in electronic form – with a qualified electronic signature, a trusted signature or a personal signature.
Those who decide to choose the traditional form can send the application at a post office. A printable application form is available on the website of the Ministry of Climate and Environment.
Poczta Polska supports digitally excluded people and people who prefer to use traditional solutions (e.g. paper forms). Sending documents via Poczta Polska is certified by a stamp with the date of posting.
The application can be sent at the Polish Post’s own branch, a branch of a post office or a postal agency. In total, customers can choose from about 7.6 thousand locations where they can send a package containing an application entitling them to receive support.
