Starting this Thursday, Spotify users will be able to unlock the “Playlists for the Future” that they put together in January 2023 and schedule those for 2025. The platform enabled personalized access to these lists of songs that Internet users highlighted as the most important from last year and invited them to create new ones.

In January 2023, Spotify added an option to its platform so that users might put together a playlist with the most resonant themes for them at that time and “sealed” them in a digital compartment (as if it were a time capsule) that might not be opened until today.

To access a “Playlists for the Future”, you must first enter the following link from a cell phone (it is worth clarifying that it is all in English) or scan a QR code if you want to access it via computer.

Then, you must select the “Get your playlist”, where you can directly access the saved songs and the reasons why each user highlighted them last year. Finally, the list is ready to be saved in the mobile application.

At the end of this process, Spotify enables Internet users to create the list of songs for the year 2025, under the same rules. In this way, the user must answer questions such as “what song does my alter ego bring out?” or “what song describes your romantic situation?” to select the songs you will listen to almost 370 days later.

Steps to follow to create a Spotify “Playlists for the Future”
