According to the information, the 8-year-old girl who was found dead in the camping pool in Halkidiki, during her nap, escaped the attention of the group leader and went to the pool which was closed at that time. The group leader was prosecuted for exposure.
According to thesstoday.gr, the absence of the girl was noticed when the responsible team leader started counting the children from the houses. Then, an alarm was raised throughout the camp and an operation was launched to locate the child. Unfortunately, however, a short time later he was found dead in the pool, with the circumstances for the exact causes being investigated.
According to the same information, the Greek Police was notified at 15.30 by the EKAV, which had already rushed to the camp with two ambulances and an escort of a doctor.
The child was initially taken unconscious to the Kassandra Health Center. From there, he was transferred to the AHEPA hospital in Thessaloniki, where he was pronounced dead.
Halkidiki: The 19-year-old group leader was arrested

The leader of the group was arrested on the basis of article 306 of the Criminal Code, which refers to the offense of exposure, that is, when someone leaves a person under his protection helpless.
Probably tomorrow Wednesday (14/08/2024) he will be brought before the Halkidiki misdemeanor prosecutor, while the rest of the persons remain in the frame with the statements continuing on the exact circumstances under which the child was found in the pool.
