How the GSK site in Saint-Amand-les-Eaux continues to grow and recruit

“Do you want to pursue a career in a biopharmaceutical company? Here, we are recruiting (very large)”. The panel, temporary and visible at the edge of the road which leads to the GSK factory in Saint-Amand-les-Eaux (North), announces the color. On the site, one hundred jobs are to be provided in one hundred days. A challenge for the British laboratory, established there since the early 2000s and ready to multiply initiatives, including the most original, to make its needs known.

“This type of communication is inspired by what can be done in Quebec”remarks Eric Platteau, director of communication and public affairs of the site. “On average, regarding ten people come to inquire, every day, at the reception”he says.

The initiative testifies to the good health of this flagship GSK factory in France, which employs more than 1,000 people, making it a strategic site for the British laboratory. “Here, we only manufacture vaccine, just over 131 million doses are produced each year, and 95% of what we produce is exported”, figures the general manager of the site, Eric Moreau. GSK has two other production sites in France, one in Mayenne (Mayenne), specializing in the production of antibiotics, and one in Evreux (Eure), dedicated to respiratory drugs.
