How the government wants to help parents care for their young children

The government wants to “remove all the brakes at the same time” to the multiplication of places in crèches or with childminders. This Thursday, the Prime Minister, Elisabeth Borne, detailed a panel of measures supposed to allow the creation of 200,000 new places and “better reception of young children”.

This cap of 200,000 additional places had been set by the Prime Minister when her government was installed last year. The objective is “to create 100,000 additional places from 2027 and 100,000 others by 2030”, detailed Elisabeth Borne in an interview this Thursday with “Ouest France”, therefore projecting itself beyond the five-year term.
