From the start of 2024, the Apple Vision Pro mixed reality headset will arrive in its manufacturer’s official stores. We already know that trial sessions will take place there for those first interested, but they will have to pay the price. And for good reason: the price of the device has been set at $3,499 by the Apple firm, which also offers other augmented reality services with its iPhones. With ARKit, developers can notably create experiences overlaid with the user’s environment, thanks to the time-of-flight radar (LiDAR) of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Today we learn that official documents show how Apple plans to present its headset in stores. These images are clearly reminiscent of those we saw during the keynote of the Worldwide Developer Conference. In fact, during the event, Tim Cook’s company had already left “to suspend” its frames, to allow them to be photographed from all angles.

No release date in mainland France
In France, for the moment, we do not know when the Vision Pro will be released. However, it is likely that the product will have a marketing schedule from the next WWDCwhich could take place in June, if the organizer does not change his habits.
Many native apps will then be included, such as the proprietary inbox Mail which allows you to buy a personalized domain name for your emails. With this, we know that Apple has also designed a version of Pagesits word processor, for visionOS. The operating system has been available for several weeks for app creators, but few can test it on the Vision Pro. Most enjoy it on Mac, for the moment.

Online orders, but not deliveries
At least initially, Apple won’t ship the Vision Pro to homes, even for those who purchased it from its online store. In any case, this is what journalist Mark Gurman says, aimed at the American market only.
To obtain the Vision Pro after ordering it from the Apple Online Store (also available as an iOS app), you will have to pick up your box in store. No controller would be included, but some suppose that it will be possible to buy several external batteries so that the charge lasts longer.
