News Com Africa Holding announces the the second meeting of its “Morocco 21” conference cycle dedicated to access to SME financing in partnership with Tamwilcom, a public guarantee and financing financial institution. Flavia Palanza, Director of Operations of the European Investment Bank in the countries neighbouring the European Union, will speak on the theme “How SME Financing can be a lever for growth” on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Casablanca.

With more than 30 years in the European Investment Bank and a career mainly focused on countries outside the European Union, in particular the regions of Central and East Africa, the Pacific, the Middle East and North Africa or Central and south-eastern Europe, Flavia Palanza will share her expertise and the “success stories” internationally and regionally that have made it possible to develop access to financing for SMEs.

« Small and medium-sized enterprises are real engines of economic growth. That is why it is from our responsibility to support and accompany them in their development. And the needs are great, many companies are still having difficulties to be financed,” said Flavia Palanza. “In 2021, almost half of our funding — 45 billion euros — went to small and medium-sized enterprises around the world. In Morocco, regarding 40% of our commitments are intended to support micro, small and large companies to enable them to cope with liquidity problems and preserve employment. Business support is a top priority for the EIB Group and I am delighted to have the opportunity to share our expertise and experience in this field with you. »

Tamwilcom, partner of the Morocco 21 conference, is a national player that gives a central place to this issue by capitalizing on its historical achievements as a Central Guarantee Fund (CCG) to better contribute to the removal of obstacles to access to financing for SMEs. News Com Africa Holding (NCA Holding) launched last November the conference cycle “Morocco 21”, an initiative aimed at deepening reflection and sharing of know-how in the construction of Morocco 21 th century. Each conference proposes to focus on strategic axes in the implementation of the new development model, launched by King Mohammed VI, with the contribution of international experts to enable the sharing of experience and best practices with world leaders. A hundred guests – experts, decision-makers, business leaders and civil society actors – are invited in order to enrich the exchanges and deepen the discussion.

The first “Morocco 21” conference was dedicated to the digital security of organizations in their digitalization process, transformation pillar in the recommendations of the Special Commission on the Development Model (CSMD). Among the essential projects that will be discussed in the coming months are the skills of the professions of the future, scientific research and innovation ecosystems, the acceleration of clean energies, the environment as a lever for wealth creation, the inclusion of the rural world or Dakhla as a new African hub for foreign investment.
