How Renault cars will be serviced – AVTOVAZ explained

Renault car owners will be able to continue warranty repairs and maintenance at the brand’s previous dealers. Currently, the process of transferring business to a new scheme with the participation of the Lada brand is underway. Autonews.ru.

After the company leaves Russia, Renault car owners will be able to undergo warranty service and repairs according to the usual scheme – at Renault brand dealers.

“Nothing changes for Renault customers – the hotline and dealers are working. The process of transition of this business is proceeding systematically,” AvtoVAZ’s press service told Autonews.ru.

Renault dealers will switch to servicing cars under warranty with the help of AVTOVAZ no later than the end of June. Such agreements were reached following negotiations between Renault dealers and the auto giant from Togliatti, which became the successor of the outgoing French company. Information regarding this was provided by the Association of Renault Dealers in Russia (ADR).

As specified in the ADR, following the agreements come into force, nothing will change for the brand’s car owners: they will also be able to continue servicing at their usual dealers while maintaining the terms of the previous warranty. As promised in the ADR, dealers will continue repair and maintenance with the help of original spare parts.

“These will definitely be original parts, not Chinese ones. AVTOVAZ took over the organization of their deliveries through Renault: dealers will receive them from the subsidiary company Lada Image, and that, in turn, from Renault,” said the president of the Renault Dealers Association in Russia Eduard Markman.

According to a representative of the dealer community, approximately 20% of the Renault spare parts range is under sanctions restrictions. “This is all electronics, as well as heavy mechanics, which are subject to price restrictions: gearboxes, complete engines. But they will also be delivered to Russia. It may even be easier for AvtoVAZ to import them than Renault. Of course, the logistical task will be not easy, but these are temporary difficulties that will be resolved. Prior to his departure, Renault was actively working on debugging the supply of spare parts to Russia, which is only to our advantage,” Markman concluded.
