Jessica Secrest posted the first video to her TikTok account, username ApplesauceandADHD, in January and recently surpassed 1.5 million followers and 27.5 million total likes. She went viral at the end of November thanks to one of her “Aggressive Tutorials” explaining how to make taco tater tot casserole.

The tater tot casserole video posted on Nov. 21 racked up more than 16.9 million views and 2.1 million likes.

“I top my casserole with cheese. Why? Because I live in the Midwest,” she said in the video.

She finished the video by trying the dish herself. “Of course it’s good, I made it,” she said. “This is delicious. Make this.”

Secrest, 30, is the mom of a 3-year-old daughter and a 4-year-old son. She lives in Jenison, around eight miles west of Grand Rapids.

“2023 has been the most amazing year for me,” Secrest wrote Monday in an Instagram post. “My life will never be the same, and it is all thanks to the people who follow me and give me a space to be a goblin person online. I am so glad I stepped out of my comfort zone and started sharing my life with all of you.”
