A marketing agency, North Star Inboundmade a poll commissioned by cosmetic dental brand Shine Smile Veneersto find out how many and with what periodicity selfies are taken in the states of the country.
The survey found that women take around 50% more selfies than men. However, older Baby Boomer women are the exceptionbecause there the men are imposed (Baby Bommers are the generation that was born following World War II).
Another noteworthy fact is that Gen Z women take the most selfies with an average of 4.8 per week.
In the averages by entity, the states with the most selfies per week are Illinois (3.58), New York (3.25), Massachusetts (2.44), and Oregon (2.42). The national average was 1.5 a week.
The 35 % of the people surveyed throughout the country recognized that they liked to edit their photos and/or use filters.
The places where they are taken the most is in the bathroom (72%)y the cars (71%). Los dressing rooms of things have the 31 % of preferences.
Selfies in North Carolina
For his part, the survey made it clear that North Carolinians take selfies 1.87 times a week. This translates into one every three days and the state occupied the ninth place of the survey with the most selfies per week.
But, although it is 25% more than the national average (1.5 a week)is almost half of those taken in the state of Illinois, which led the numbers in the survey.
Another fact that stands out regarding North Carolina, and that denotes the safety of its inhabitants, is that 1 in 10 respondents in the state said they loved taking selfies at the gym.
This puts the state in the place 13 at the national level. Georgia and Texas occupied the first place in this category with the 24% of its citizens preferring those photos in the Gym.
And the “belfies”?
Calls deserve a special mention “belfies”which are like selfies but from behind!
The 5% of respondents in North Carolina agreed to have taken these types of photos and send them to someone or have them posted on a network.
However, several states ranked above North Carolinagiven that the national average for “belfies” is 9% of respondents.
our neighbors from South Carolina, along with Alabama and New York are the ones that agreed to take the most “belfies” with 17% of those surveyed. Arizona, Arkansas and Michigan had 15% of people They usually take pictures of their butts.
