how Musk’s technology helped a paralyzed swimmer (VIDEO)

29-year-old Nolan Arbo, the first immobilized patient to receive a brain implant from Elon Musk’s company, Neuralink, shared his impressions of the new stage of his life with journalists and social media users. A recording of the Neuralink presentation with Arbo’s participation became available on the American’s account on the social network X (formerly Twitter), which also belongs to Musk.

A man who lived paralyzed for 8 years now uses the power of his thoughts to create accounts on social networks, play video games, and communicate with virtual friends.

The man said he felt fine. He spent the last eight years in a state of deep disability – his entire body below the shoulders was paralyzed. Now, thanks to the chip, Nolan was able to independently create a profile in X and send messages with the power of thought. He can also now play video games – in particular, virtual chess and the strategy of Civilization VI.

“There is still a lot of work ahead, but the implant has already changed my life,” Arbaugh said.

According to him, even before chipping, he read news on the Internet that Neuralink employees allegedly mistreated experimental monkeys during implant testing on animals. “Now to everyone who thinks so, I am ready to answer: “You are a bunch of idiots!” – the patient said jokingly and seriously.
