In the financial report issued to the Mexican Stock Exchange (BMV), the company highlighted that in the first three months of the year, it recorded sales of 1,210 million pesos, of which more than 50% came from Club América, contributing 613.9 millions of pesos.

The company’s soccer segment includes the promotion of sports shows and special events in Mexico, thanks to this Ollamani acquired sales through advertising, sponsorships and box office and sales.

While the Games segment, which includes the operation of 18 “Play City” establishments, with approximately 6,000 electronic game machines, contributed 515 million pesos to Ollamani and represented 42.5% of the company’s consolidated income.

Meanwhile, the magazine business obtained revenues of 81.1 million pesos, contributing 6.7% of the company’s total sales, thanks to the circulation, advertising and distribution of its own titles.

Ollamani’s net income amounted to 133.6 million in its first quarter in operation.

In addition, the company revealed that during the first quarter of this year, it invested approximately 63.1 million pesos in its soccer segment that brings together the América team and the Azteca Stadium, whose venue will host the next soccer World Cup.

The companies hope this year to fund their cash needs for operating activities, related to investments or possible acquisitions.

The main objective of the decision to separate the Other Businesses division of Grupo Televisa is to make these operations more attractive to investors and allow the company to focus more precisely on the telecommunications segment with its brands Izzi, Sky and ViX, which has experienced a significant boost due to the increased demand for connectivity and content following the pandemic.
